A WW1 memorial

One of the twelve bronzes outside the south transept representing both the signs of the zodiac and the months of the year by Jaroslav Horejc. This one is cancer / early summer, hence the sharpening of the scythe.

The specatular ambulatory around the apse

Right opposite the Russian Embassy, but owned by the Knights of Malta, this wall became a canvas with a legal grey status which meant that in the communist era, Prague's free thinkers had a tiny bit of the city on which to express themselves straight in the face of their Soviet oppressors. It started with pictures of John Lennon after his 1980 murder and is still being repainted and repainted.

The pictures on this building hoarding showed the same street after WW2 as a pile of rubble. Shocking to think this was done by British bombers.

There are two big brawny dudes carved either side of the Georgentor. Probably allegories of Hercules, but to us they just looked extremely grumpy.

This wonderful park has a narrow-guage railway which you can ride around, and which is staffed almost entirely by teenagers.

MInd-boggling to think this was only restored from a ruin in 2005.

View down on to the Zwinger - Augustus the Strong transformed a medieval fortress (hence the name 'Kennel') into an outrageous garden and show pavilion. Just finishing renovations when we were there (turf being unrolled as we watched!)
